Many teams at Microsoft use SourceDepot, which I believe is a version of Perforce licensed in source-code form by Microsoft and then modified. SourceDepot replaced SCM (scum)

I didn't know SourceDepot was based on Perforce; no wonder, it was so good. :)

Anyway, SourceDepot replaced SLM (slime) (L as in Library), not SCM. I used SCM to refer to Source Code Management software.

It sounds weird to say "It had to be written in Prolog". That must surely just be the developers personal preference. Some systems may be easier to code in language X, but to say "had", is just plain weird IMO :)
